    On the university campus, I saw Alex and felt a spark, a pull I had never experienced before, and though fear gnawed at me, whispering the usual doubts, I knew, with a certainty that bloomed in my chest, that this was something real, something beyond the surface. David, bless his heart, felt it too, and together, hand in hand, we bravely navigated the complicated reality of being gay and coming out, finding strength and hope in each other, in the shared journey of our LGBT identities. Embracing our love, we discovered a freedom we'd only dreamed of, realizing that the greatest adventure was simply being ourselves, together, always.
